The Tokay High boys soccer team overcame a 2-0 halftime deficit on Friday to defeat Lincoln 3-2.

Lio Ruiz got the Tigers on the board early in the second half, scoring on a penalty kick, and scored the equalizer not too long after. Eduardo Guillen gave Tokay the game-winner, with the assist by Brandon Razo.

Christian Valencia blocked four shots for the Tigers (11-1-1 overall, 4-0-1 in the Tri-City Athletic League).

Varsity

Liberty Ranch 88, Bradshaw Christian 64

The Hawks stayed undefeated with Friday’s victory, improving to 5-0 in the Sierra Valley Conference and 22-1 overall.

Jalen Patterson led the way with 24 points, one of four Hawks in double digits — Jayden Baroni scored 21, Isaac Padilla scored 13 and Jaime Gonzalez scored 11, while Josh Seiler added eight.

Junior varsity

Lodi 65, Tokay 47

Ryker Henne scored 14 to lead the Tigers, along with 12 from Cylas Riley, nine from A.J. O’Grodnick, five each from Uri Penaflor and Jorden Lawrence and two from Nick Merrill. Tokay fell to 5-15 overall and 1-5 in the TCAL.

Freshmen

Lodi 54, Tokay 52, OT

Kevin Dondero scored 15 points for the Flames, and Mason Stout had 10 in Friday’s overtime victory. Dylan Scott, Carter Swicegood and Angel Landa scored six points each, Dylan Johnson had four, Pierce DeAndreis had three and Steven Whiting and Riley Ebbs had two each.

Tokay 64, St. Mary’s 15

The Tigers scored eight pins in Thursday’ blowout victory — Krisjen Gonzales (106-pound division), Max Hittle (126), Peter Sim (138), Leo Garcia (145), Luke Millan (152), Moyses Luciano (160), Jacob Pursell (170) and Carlos Torres (220) all scored by pin, while Robert De La Torre had a major decision, beating his opponent 13-4.

Granger Dinwiddie and Hashir Arif won by forfeit.

Junior varsity

Tokay 42, St. Mary’s 6

Andrew Senner (160), Lron Ocampo (170) and Jesus Martinez (182) all won by pin for the Tigers.
