The Liberty Ranch High boys basketball team handed a beating to cross-town rival Galt, with a 92-39 victory in Sierra Valley Conference action at Warrior Gym on Friday.
The Hawks jumped out to a 24-0 lead, led 29-3 after the first quarter and didn’t let up until the fourth quarter.
Isaac Padilla led Liberty Ranch with 30 points, along with 20 each from Jalen Patterson and Jayden Baroni. Jaime Gonzalez added nine.
For Galt, Chris Strayhand led with 12 points, and Logan Mayfield had eight. The Hawks improved to 24-1 overall and 7-0 in the SVC.

The Eagles pulled within five twice late in the Central California Athletic Alliance game on Friday, but fell short despite an 18-point night from Roy Itovichi. Alexander Pinasco added a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, Peyton Yarbrough had eight points, Joshua Alejandre had seven points and 13 rebounds, Zrebric Humphreys had six points and six boards, Mason Jones had four points and Ryan Ehresman had one for Elliot (3-5 in the CCAA, 4-18).

Tanner Burrell led the Eagles with seven points, along with six from Mathew Alagna, five from Caleb Guerzo and three from John Wuest.

The Flames notched another point in league play on Friday after falling behind 2-0 on a pair of corner kicks in the first half.
Eddie Sandoval scored on a direct kick near the end of the first half to close the gap, then Cristian Vivanco scored the equalizer in the closing minutes with an assist from Yobani Osorio.
Cristian Lopes played well in the midfield, while Brandon Duran and Edgar Lopez played well on defense for Lodi (3-1-2 in the Tri-City Athletic League, 5-9-2).
