The Liberty Ranch boys basketball team cruised to a 70-32 victory over Rosemont on Friday, led by 25 points from Jalen Patterson and 17 from Isaac Padilla.
The Hawks opened up with a 22-6 first quarter and never let up, leading 35-14 at halftime. Jaime Gonzalez, Jayden Baroni and Gabriel Nino each added six points.
The Hawks (20-1, 3-0 in the Sierra Valley Conference) will face off against Union Mine on Tuesday. The Diamondbacks are also 3-0 in conference play.
Liberty Ranch has now won 20 games or more for five straight seasons.
Modesto Christian 77, Lodi 55
Chase Shafter scored 19 points as Lodi (1-3 in the Tri-City Athletic League, 9-11) fell to a strong Crusaders squad at The Inferno on Friday. Marcell Roberts added nine points for the Flames, followed by Nathan Shoup with eight, Colton Stout had seven, Logan Stout had six, Matt Nickel had four and Andreas Pappas had two.
Tracy 65, Tokay 35
Adam Johnson and Austyn Reiswig scored nine point each in Friday’s loss for Tokay (0-3 in the TCAL, 2-17), along with eight from Mohammad Ibrahim, five from AnoopSingh and four from Hamza El Kheidi.
Modesto Christian 71, Lodi 38
Isaac Bishop led the Flames with 10 points in Friday’s loss, along with seven from Max Graves, six from Vinny Montgomery, five from Tony Riviera, four each from Stephanos Pappas and Gabe Biadoni and two fromCade Passey.

Ryker Henne had 12 points for Tokay (0-3 in the TCAL, 4-13) in Friday’s game. Uri Penaflor and Cylas Riley had 10 points each, Jorden Lawerence four and Nick Merrill and JP Preciadl two each.

The Flames lost on Friday, with Carter Swicegood, Kevin Dondero and Daniel Barkley leading Lodi in points with five each. Dylan Johnson added four, Madden Luiz and Pierce DeAndreis had three each, and Angel Landa, Mason Stout and Riley Ebbs had two each.

Adrian Charles and Majid Khan each scored seven to lead the Tigers in Friday’s loss. Quinn Carter added six, Isaiah Cruz-Gee had four, Umar Rasool had three and Josh Anderson had two.
