Editor: I am responding to Jason Silva’s letter to the editor regarding “busybodies.”
He is upset about “minor unimportant infractions” being reported to the code enforcement or local policies such as long weeds or vehicles that are parked on dirt (where lawn would usually be).
This “good old neighbor” has been going to report such infractions and has never gotten around to it. I would have included boats, trailers and company trucks parked on the street. I applaud the person taking the time to make the call.
We have lived in our home for 60 years and take pride in our neighborhood.
My advice to you Mr. Silva, is for you to work on getting the codes changed to better suit your lifestyle or otherwise obey the codes that are in place so you to may take pride in your neighborhood.
