Liberty Oaks Pony Club members attend cross country course jump event

Liberty Oaks Pony Club member Hannah Lingo rides her mustang, Comanche.

On President's Day, riders from Gateway Farm in Acampo trailered to Lone Tree Farm near Waterford to school over the cross country course jumps.  Enjoying the sunshine while coaching her students was instructor Liz Jenner. Included in the 10 riders were Laura Weisman, DC of Liberty Oaks Pony Club, and members Rachel Ravera, Hannah Lingo, Lindsey McKinney, Ashley Buck, Brianna Davis, Sophie Weisman and Abigail Ruport with new member Sandra Sirizzotti and Gateway student Olga Highley.

Due to the variety of jumps, the riders were able to practice over many appropriate for their skill levels and their horses conditioning. Due to the warmth of the day, the last series of jumps in and out of the water complex was especially enjoyed by horses and riders. Meanwhile, back at Gateway Farm, Fred Fickert and his son Nathan were installing logs in ditches dug on Sunday by John Lakso to make a series of ditch related obstacles in the cross country field.
