Lodi Soroptimists celebrate 70 years in Lodi

Members of Soroptimist International of Lodi recently celebrated the club’s 70 years of service in Lodi. The club is a combination of the original SI Lodi club and SI Lodi Sunrise. The clubs joined forces this year. The dinner event was held at Richmaid Restaurant.

Soroptimists is a service organization whose mission is "Soroptimist Improves the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment." They support local groups that serve women and children, including Hope Harbor Shelter for Women and Children, Lodi House and Second Step and Family Ties organization. In March, the members celebrated Love Lodi day and Soroptimist Saturday of Service by sorting and sizing donated clothing at Hope Harbor Shelter.
