On Feb. 28, Lodi Elks Lodge No. 1900 held its third annual Mardi Gras event. This event raised $300 toward funds for scholarships for the youth in our community. Thanks to the chairman of this event, Exalted Ruler Charlene Johnson, who organized Elk volunteers, this was a fun filled event.

Members handed in their chips at the end of the evening for gifts that were donated by members of the lodge and local businesses.

There was good food on hand, prepared by Pauline Meyer, Marion Tindle and Sondra Simmons. Volunteer bar tender, Ben Scholl, did a great job keeping everyone happy with libations. Dallas Knapp D.J.’d throughout the evening as the members danced, ate and played casino type games.
