A Lodi High School teacher on Friday reportedly reprimanded two sophomores and sent one to the principal’s office for wearing T-shirts supporting the National Rifle Association. The shirts had an image of the U.S. flag on top of the backs of shell casings, which the teacher believed violated the school’s dress code which bans clothing depicting weapons.

School administrators examined the T-shirt in question, according to a statement from Lodi Unified School District, and determined that it did not violate the dress code.
