Looking for a way to improve communications with students, parents and faculty, Lodi Unified School District will release a mobile application for both Androids and iPhones.
“It will be ready for use on Dec. 28,” Edith Holbert, the district’s director of technology services, said on Friday.
In addition to notifications about weather, emergencies and more directly from the school district, Holbert said, parents can follow their children’s schools to receive updates on school events and even contact teachers and staff directly from the app.
“Parents will also be able to access their students’ grades, assignments and attendance,” Holbert said.
An informational video on the app is available on the district’s website — www.lodiusd .net — Holbert said, and district administrators have finished their training on how to publish notifications on the app.
“I would imagine that when we come back from winter break, they’ll be ready to start posting,” Holbert said.
