Lodi firefighters talk about Camp Fire battle

Sitting at a wooden table inside of Lodi Fire Station 3 late Thursday morning, Capt. Chris Allen sipped his coffee as he remembered watching news coverage of the Camp Fire in Butte County with his fellow firefighters earlier this month.

“When we see a tragedy like that taking place, the first thing we want to do as firemen is show up and help,” Allen said. “The phone rang, our neighbors needed help and we went. We were proud to go.”
