Big Valley Beekeepers Guild aims to be a resource for locals who want to raise their own honeybee hives

Just east of Lodi, a pair of hives hold thousands of honeybees. During the cold months, the bees are quiet, weathering the winter.

But when it warms up, the hives will be buzzing with about 40,000 bees each, producing honey for Cherie Sintes-Glover and her family and friends.
