Lockeford hosts open house for lunch program

Lockeford Community Center’s senior lunch program will be holding an open house for Lockeford residents interested in signing up for the program today from 1 to 3 p.m. at the community center, located at 19258 N. Jack Tone Road. The senior community (ages 60 and older) will be able to meet the volunteers, drink punch, eat cookies, and sign up for the program.

No injuries after car collides with tractor in Lockeford

The California Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle collision occurred around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday. A 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier rear-ended a 2010 Kubota tractor, according to CHP officer James Smith.

Woman accused in $8,000 embezzlement out on bail

A former bookkeeper accused of embezzling $8,000 from the Mokelumne Rural Fire District has been released from San Joaquin County Jail, according to Deputy District Attorney Stephen Taylor.

Two teens recovering after Lockeford crash

Two local girls are recovering after a serious car accident east of Lodi. Kristi Matoyama, 18, and Jacklyn Hall, 14, were involved in a collision with another vehicle on Jack Tone Road, near the intersection with Brandt Road, last Thursday.

New life in new location for Country Cafe in Lockeford

But her Country Cafe, at a new location in Lockeford, is decked out in cowboy kitsch.
