Congressional vote to reduce wine excise taxes expected to benefit Lodi wineries

Congress uncorked some big savings for U.S. wineries as part of its sweeping tax reform, giving Lodi vintners something to cheer about following a string of legislative setbacks.

“I think it will be welcome news to all Lodi growers and vintners to have some tax relief, especially in light of increased costs related to labor and regulations,” said Stuart Spencer, program manager for the Lodi Winegrape Commission.
