Next time you run out of cleaning supplies, put together this homemade all-purpose cleaner. Combine one gallon of water, 2 teaspoons of Dawn dish soap, 1/2 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup baking soda. Put it in a spray bottle to clean showers, toilets, sinks and counters. To make it a disinfectant, add 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol. If you have an abundance of baby oil on hand, here are some ways to use it up. You can use it to remove gum from hair or skin by applying it and working the gum out with fingers. You can apply some to a tangled necklace to help slide the tangles out with a pin or needle. You can also use it to help stubborn zippers slide more easily. Need an inexpensive gift for someone? Try making these spiced nuts. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. In a large bowl, mix 3/4 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons water, 1 lightly beaten egg white, 3/4 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves, 1/4 teaspoon allspice and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg. Then, stir in 1 cup pecan halves, 1/2 cup whole almonds, 1 cup walnuts and 1 cup cashews. Mix until nuts are coated. Bake on cookie sheet for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Then, give it as a gift in a mason jar or tin. For more gift ideas, visit http://www.frugalvillage.com/2015/04/19/easy-homemade-gift-ideas-2/.
