Lodi area offers many options for wedding reception sites

Choosing a date is just the beginning of the long road of planning a wedding. Local businesses agree that when it comes to getting married, reserving a place to hold the ceremony and reception should be first on the agenda.

Hutchins Street Square is one of many local spots where a couple can hold a reception.

Luckily, the Lodi area offers many romantic and beautiful places for local couples to say “I do.”

Hutchins Street Square holds many receptions during the year, with reservations being made a year in advance.

The rental consultant at Hutchins Street Square says approximately 60 receptions are held each year in the halls. Crete Hall can hold 200 people, while Kirst Hall can accommodate 400.

With their recently redone courtyard, the LOEL Center in Lodi is becoming more popular with local couples.

According to Site Coordinator Tracy Williams, approximately 200 people can be accommodated both inside in the hall and outside in the courtyard. Also, both inside and outside can be reserved for a larger wedding reception.

“Spring is the most popular time. Not one weekend is open,” Williams said.

Williams recommends that couples make reservations three to six months before the wedding.

Crepe Vine Etc. in Lodi also offers an outdoor courtyard for couples to hold their wedding receptions. In addition to the courtyard, two other areas are available, including the gold room which can hold up to 100 people.

Owner Laura Hernandez says another option is to hold the reception inside and out in the courtyard, which would be able to accommodate up to 210 people.

Making reservations in advance is also a recommendation Hernandez makes to soon-to-be wed couples. For a bridal shower, she says to book three months in advance, and for receptions at least six months.

Wine and Roses Inn is unique in offering a place to hold weddings and receptions.

Sue Berges, director of sales at the Wine and Roses says booking space anywhere from a year to 18 months prior to the wedding date is best.

Wine and Roses offers an outdoor wedding garden for ceremonies and an indoor ballroom that can hold up to 350 people for the reception. Although May and June are their most popular months, Berges says events are booked spring through fall.

Since Lodi is in the heart of wine country, wineries and vineyards also offer a unique and romantic location for weddings and receptions.

With all the options the Lodi area offers for weddings and receptions, couples are sure to find the perfect place to celebrate their marriage.
