Full spectrum of shops line downtown streets
Shopping downtown Lodi isn’t like shopping in a mall.
Forget skylights, crowded food courts and predictable stores that all carry basically the same things.
Instead, breathe the open air, relax on the open benches and, if you plan on browsing in open “mom and pop” shops, go during the day.
Though the quaint lamp-lined streets are inviting at night, most businesses close by 5:30 p.m.
While that may be inconvenient for some, shoppers with daytime free time will find uniqueness in every store.
Explore the antique shops or try on clothes at one of the many boutiques.
Bargain hunt at a consignment shop or used book store. There’s western wear, tuxedos, a clock shop and a handful of gift shops, to name just some of the wares available in the criss-crossing strips of shops downtown Lodi.
The town boasts a spectrum of specialty book stores too.
There really is something for everyone. Parking is usually plentiful, and always free.
