Plenty of rooms for every pocketbook

If you just want an inexpensive room for the night, need a business suite, or have a hankering for some deluxe temporary quarters, Lodi offers a variety of options for the savvy traveler. Hotels and MotelsWine & Roses Hotel and Restaurant — One of Lodi’s best hotels, Wine & Roses offers in-room dining, spa-styled bathrooms, gardens with overlooking terraces, fireplaces and spa tubs. The hotel offers a full range of spa services such as full-body therapeutic and pampered massages and customized facial treatments. A longtime specialty is their Sunday brunch, which includes mimosas, made-to-order omelets and a variety of desserts. With 36 rooms, the hotel offers a full range of business accommodations, including meeting and conference rooms. Room prices range from $149 to $325. 2505 W. Turner Road in Lodi, 334-6988. Best Western Royal Host Inn — This hotel offers complimentary continental breakfast, non-smoking rooms, an outdoor pool, cable TV, a hot tub and business accommodations. An in-room coffee-maker and a complimentary newspaper are provided, and some rooms have a microwave and refrigerator. Rates range from $70 for rooms to $95 for suites. 710 S. Cherokee Lane in Lodi, 369-8484 Comfort Inn — Offering a complimentary continental breakfast, non-smoking rooms, an outdoor pool and spa, and cable TV with pay-per-view. Rates range from $69 for rooms to $125 for suites. 118 N. Cherokee Lane in Lodi, 367-4848. Holiday Inn Express — Offering a complimentary breakfast bar, free local calls, non-smoking rooms, an outdoor pool and a fitness room. For lounging, the hotel provides a 25-inch cable TV, and in-room movies are available. Rates for rooms range from the $79 corporate rate to $89 for standard guests. 1140 S. Cherokee Lane in Lodi, 334-6422 Budget Inn — Stop here for basic accommodations, such as non-smoking rooms and cable TV. Rooms range from $52 to $75. 917 S. Cherokee Lane in Lodi, 369-1091. Microtel Inn & Suites — Offering a continental breakfast, pool, conference rooms, data ports and cable TV. Room rates range from $69 to $89. 6428 W. Banner St. in Lodi, 367-9700. Wine Country Inn — For the feeling of a “home away from home,” managers Sunny and Sue Patel offer in-room telephones and 82 channels of cable color TV. 607 S. Cherokee Lane, Lodi, 368-2707. Bed and BreakfastThe Inn at Locke House — A 22-room historic rural brick home, originally built in 1865-1882. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the Locke House offers a variety of room designs, some with clawfoot tubs, a fireplace and telephone showers. All rooms are made for two, and come with CD players, CDs and telephones with data ports Rooms in the Main House are $120, and the Water Tower Suite is $185. Corporate rates are available. The resident owners-innkeepers are Richard, Lani and Kerri Eklund. 11960 N. Elliott Road, Lockeford, 727-5715 Amorosa Inn and Gardens — Lodi’s newest place to stay, the Amorosa Inn is adjacent to 20 acres of vineyard near the southern end of Lodi. The inn was created from a four-bedroom custom home that was originally built in the 1970s. Both the interior and exterior have been completely remodeled, and the inn contains a mix of antiques and contemporary furnishings. Each room has a queen-size bed and its own small verandah, and one room has a king-size bed and a sauna. The Amorosa Inn is the effort of owners Renae and Mike Matson, who also own the Vino con Brio Winery in Lockeford. 7889 E. Harney Lane, Lodi 368-5658. |
