For visitors, the great outdoors awaits

By News-Sentinel staff

Whether basking in the sun, getting in some water fun or camping, Lodi and the surrounding areas offer something for everyone.

Lodi Lake, located off Turner Road, is a 28-acre lake fed by the Mokelumne River that runs from the Sierras through Lodi to the Delta.

The lake also offers a 58-acre Nature Area.

Outside of Lodi an endless supply of outdoors activities is available.

The Delta offers more than 1,000 miles of waterways and is home to some of the best water-skiing, windsurfing and boat fishing in the country.

Local preserves offer some of the best wildlife viewing in the country and skydiving is also available for extreme people.

So, whether it’s a nice hike or dropping a fishing line in the water, there is something for everybody in the Central Valley.
