Simply take a stroll in downtown Lodi and the avid collector or beginner shopper is bound to find a bountiful, of shops.

A new addition to the downtown area is the Immigrant’s Corner. Previously on Beckman Road, the owners, Gerald and Mimmi Vanderlans, have completely renovated the building that housed Fyffe’s Automotive for more than 50 years.

Walking into the Vanderlans’ new facility, one would never guess that it was once an automotive shop. They did however keep some things the same.

“We were able to keep the stunning open beam ceiling in tact and the office area from the garage days,” Mimmi Vanderlans said. “We were even able to restore the old neon lights that have hung from the rafters for years.”
