Sabien Tafoya kneeled in front of cards, flowers and letters surrounding a Lodi streetlight Wednesday night. With tears rolling down his cheeks, the 13-year-old boy lit a candle, placed it by the memorial and said goodbye to a friend.
Two cars collided on the intersection of Elm and Church streets, just outside the Lodi Police Department and a Lodi fire station, around 8:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013. At least one car was towed away, and Lodi police were unable to confirm if there were any injuries.

Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a two-car collision ended with a vehicle on its side Friday morning.
An elderly woman driver was taken to Lodi Memorial Hospital with
minor injuries following a two-car collision on Church Street on
Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012. Police said a Chevrolet Malibu, traveling
west on Chestnut Street, was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup
when the Malibu pulled into the intersection after making a

A two-car collision occured in the intersection of Ham and
Kettleman lanes. A black Honda CRV and a black two-door pickup
truck collided at approximately 7 p.m.

Drive on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. According to Cpl. Roger
Butterfield of the Lodi Police Department, a witnesses said the
Ford Focus, traveling east on Kettleman Lane, ran a red light and
collided with the front passenger side of a Ford F-150 truck that
was traveling north on Tienda Drive. The pregnant driver of the
truck was taken by ambulance to the hospital with reported chest
pains. The female driver of the Focus was uninjured. Drugs and
alcohol are not considered to be a factor.

A Lodi teenager died Tuesday evening in a vicious two-car
collision on Highway 88, according to the California Highway
The victim, a 16-year-old whose identity has not being released,
was driving with a 13-year-old female passenger in a 1997 Honda
Accord when they were struck by a 2000 Toyota pickup.
The pickup contained four passengers: a 65-year-old female
driver, a 68-year-old male, a 10-year-old female and a 9-year-old
female — all from Gilroy.

A two-car collision shortly before noon Sunday sent one occupant
to Kaiser Hospital in South Sacramento with serious injuries,
according to a Liberty firefighter.
Emergency crews tend to a passenger after a two-car collision on Turner Road that required the Jaws of Life to free a driver on Wednesday. According to Lodi Police Officer Sean Blandford, a Buick Park Avenue sedan was traveling south on the northbound Highway 99 Turner Road exit when it entered the path of a Ford F-150 truck traveling west on Turner Road. The Ford struck the driver’s side of the Buick, spinning the car 180 degrees. The elderly female driver was briefly trapped in the car before being removed by Lodi firefighters. Both the woman and passenger were taken to Lodi Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the truck and his teenage son were uninjured, and the truck received minor damage.
