In January, Trevor Mabalon lived out a dream: Hitting his first-ever game-winner, as a senior, against his rival school.
"I think about it every other week, at least," he said.
Now, he'll be able to live out another dream: Playing basketball at the college level.

Scoring? Passing? Defense? Veteran leadership? Check them all off. Tokay’s Trevor Mabalon and Tori Schallberger did just about everything on the hardwood during their senior campaigns, and the two have now been recognized for those efforts with spots on their Tri-City Athletic League first teams.

Tokay Tigers senior guard Trevor Mabalon scored 24 points,
including five 3-pointers, and center Zack Leffler added 10 points
but the Tigers could not overcome a cold-shooting night in a 60-46
loss to host McNair Eagles on Friday in boys basketball action.
Tokay (12-14, 3-6 Tri-City Athletic League) fell behind against
the first-place Eagles (19-4, 8-1 TCAL) 51-29, with five minutes
remaining in the fourth quarter. However, Mabalon and Leffler each
connected on a pair of 3s to spark a 14-0 run and shave the deficit
to 51-43 at the 2:26 mark.

It didn't take long for the Tigers to find out why McNair is in
first place in the Tri-City Athletic League boys basketball
standings. The Eagles jumped on Tokay early, racing out to a 21-6
lead at the end of the first quarter and went on to beat the Tigers
56-38 in Stockton.

Athletic League champion St. Mary's, the Tigers still managed to
