I have been trying to corner this column for well over a week now, and have finally pinned it down between laundry and watering flower pots. Also in the mix was a family gathering at California Al’s for Second Son’s and my joint birthday. A little newcomer to the group was my great-grandson, Second Daughter’s grandson via her son. I’ve already had a step great-grandson for a while, via Second Daughter’s stepdaughter. Gets complicated, doesn’t it? It’s nothing compared to the relationships among my forebears!

four years, but finally found one he liked in 2011. The Leaf is the

The group meets every Wednesday from 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. at the Family Life Christian Church, located at 85 Enterprise Court, Suite C.
The former location of Express Smog at the intersection of Lockeford and California streets is seen during its demolition on Wednesday in Lodi. Demolition of the building started two weeks ago and should be finished in the next 10 to 14 days, said Juan Vasquez, who is building a restaurant on the property. The restaurant, La Terraza, should take three months to build and will be 1,500 square-feet, he said.
