Lodi Police Officer Dale Eubanks surveys the scene where two pedestrians are cared for by Lodi Firefighter Michael Alegre, left, Capt. Scott Thomas and Battalion Chief George Juelch. The incident occurred just about 8:15 a.m. when a white car turned left onto Pine Street from Sacramento Street, accelerated and allegedly intentionally hit two men as they walked around a closed sidewalk, according to witnesses. Do you love sports? Are you just as passionate about writing? The Lodi News-Sentinel is looking for a part-time writer to cover prep sports. While the primary job duty would be game coverage, there could be opportunities to write feature and enterprise stories for a writer with the right skill set.
