Rayburn Mehlhaff
A funeral for Dr. Rayburn Dayton Mehlhaff, 94, of Stockton, who died March 14, will be held at 1 p.m. today in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 at East Harney Lane, Lodi. Visitation will be held from noon until the service in the chapel.

Visitation for Paulina Pack, 60, of Lodi, who died March 14, will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Lodi Funeral Home, 735 S. Fairmont Ave., Lodi. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home. Committal will be private.

Francisco Trujillo, a representative of the Community Partnership for Families, stood before the Lodi City Council on Wednesday and pleaded for funds to provide food, health care and basic services for families on the Eastside, several of whom were seated in the audience at Carnegie Forum.
The council members said their hands were tied, because CPF didn't apply for any money.
The community group was among several nonprofit organizations who are preparing for disappointment.
