LOS ANGELES — Authorities are continuing to sort out the details of an auto accident that apparently claimed the life of award-winning journalist Michael Hastings.

Kenneth Day, 98, of Westby, Mont. and formerly of Lodi, died June 17. He was born Feb. 25, 1915 in Jacksonville, Ill.
