Pacific Gas and Electric Company is considering building a 300-megawatt power plant in Lodi that could store energy in the form of compressed air and release it during peak use hours. It would be the third of its kind in the world, if the current study finds Lodi a feasible location.

Almost a year ago, the brains in Sacramento passed a law requiring Pacific Gas and Electric Company to get one-third of its energy from "renewable sources." The mandate does not go into effect until 2020, but the impact is happening now.

Casella, a tail gunner for the 379th Bomb Group in the 8th Air Force, would spend his eightto 10-hour missions fending off enemy aircraft and having a birds-eye view of the combat below.
Monday, the 89-year-old was back in a B-17.
