Happy holidays to one and all! It’s getting to be the most wonderful time of the year, and one of the most wonderful things about it is the bevy of movie options that typically grace us during the last couple months of the year.

The bird world around here is rather out of kilter. A pair of robins has shown up in the back yard, and I saw a new bird out front — at least one I’ve not seen before. It was about the size of a grosbeak and was a beautiful steel gray with dark wings. It had a slender head with a fairly long sharp beak. Anyone know what it is? I also thought I saw a hummingbird with a white breast and a white ring around its throat, but this all turned out to be the angle at which I was seeing my ruby-throated friend.

I once watched a movie called "My Name is Khan." This film is
about a young boy who was mistreated and abused due to his
ethnicity. This boy was a Muslim, and just because some other
Muslims decided to stop, make a U-turn and take the wrong path,
this innocent boy, Rizvan Khan's son, was known as a terrorist.
This is where my essay on the importance of seeing a true person,
not just their ethnicity, begins.
