Hall of Fame for his contributions to local agriculture.

Mark Armstrong feels it is important to support agriculture,
because it is what drives the economy. San Joaquin County is
crucial to the agricultural production of the United States, and
without it, he said, our area is dead. In support of local
agriculture, he has served as manager of the Lodi Grape Festival
for the past 19 years.

Denise Armstrong has been sewing since the age of 9. She says
sewing runs in her family because her grandparents were tailors.
She feels the mark of a good tailor is someone who enjoys what they
are doing.

Lodi High’s drive to the Sac-Joaquin Division I section
championship football game was derailed by two things: The Flames
could not overcome injuries and Pleasant Grove junior running back
Mark Jenkins.

Joey Armstrong, currently the reigning San Joaquin Athletic
Association Most Valuable Player in both football and baseball for
the Lodi Flames, has decided to forego his senior season in
football to concentrate on baseball only.

The reigning San Joaquin Athletic Association baseball MVP won't
be back to defend his crown this season. Lodi High junior Joey
Armstrong, the quarterback of the Flame football team, had surgery
last week to repair the torn anterior cruciate ligament in his
right knee and the recovery time is expected to last six to nine
months.

accuracy. To counter the trend, Galt Bible Church was founded in
1956 for people who believed in the literal translation of the
Bible and looked for a church that taught the Bible, one book at a
time.
