Taurus is an approximately 1½ -year-old male pit bull currently at the Lodi Animal Shelter. Taurus is the embodiment of the true nature of pit bulls. He is big and strong, friendly and affectionate. Taurus knows his basic commands, and will sit on command for a special treat and some ear scratches. Taurus loves to lie in the cool grass, and has been known to enjoy a good belly rub, as well. Taurus has a lot of energy, and he loves to run the length of our dog run numerous times in a row. When he’s had his fill of running, Taurus will come back to you with a big smile on his face, looking for some one-on-one interaction. Taurus is very friendly with people, even those he’s meeting for the first time, shows no signs of dog aggression and appears to be housebroken. Because of his size and strength, Taurus will need a strong owner, one with a lot of experience owning large breed dogs. Though Taurus knows his basic commands, it is highly recommended that he receive continued obedience training. If you are interested in giving Taurus the strong, loving, home that he deserves and needs, or if you would like more information about Taurus, please call PALS at (209) 224-0354. We have other dogs and cats available for adoption, so stop by the PALS Adoption Center located in Lodi at 1405 W. Kettleman Lane.
