Tokay High's varsity wrestling team is apparently back on track.

In a match of streaks, host Calaveras High erased an early deficit and built a large lead before holding off a late Tokay charge in a 42-36 victory on Wednesday night in non-league wrestling action. The Tigers led 18-6 after four bouts, but the Redskins won six of the next seven matches to take a 42-24 lead. Tokay won the final three matches, but it wasn't enough to pull off the comeback.

Hell froze over. Pigs flew. The early bird missed the worm. Tokay lost two dual wrestling league meets and finished third in the league tournament.
