When new owners enter older buildings for renovation, they expect dust and cobwebs. Maybe some garbage left over from the previous tenant. They don’t expect established bat colonies 2,000 strong, or walls and roofs filled with redwood shavings instead of modern insulation.

the globe sometimes must walk miles to access a well or river —
which could be contaminated with feces or decomposing bodies.

A summer tradition will start tonight as Lodi residents head
Downtown to pick up fresh produce, grab a beer and listen to music
at the annual Farmers Market.
The free event starts tonight and will run every Thursday from 5
to 9 p.m. until Aug. 25.
The market will be on School Street between Elm and Oak streets.
Starting at 4 p.m., the city will ticket and tow any parked cars on
School Street, said Jaime Watts, executive director of the Downtown
Lodi Business Partnership.

Due to high expenses and historically poor attendance in
September, the Downtown Lodi Farmers Market is going to be shorter
this year. The annual market is being reduced to 13 weeks and will
not stretch into September, the Downtown Lodi Business Partnership
board of directors unanimously voted Monday.

another four-year term as San Joaquin County’s Sheriff/Coroner. It
was a landslide over Robert “Bobby” Moreno, who retired in March

After only nine months in business, it's as though Dancing Fox
Bakery and Winery has been in Lodi forever.
Colleen Lewis' aunt, Janice Clinton, from Bonneau, S.C., and her uncle and aunt, Bud and Ruth Kennedy, from Scotts Valley, came to Lodi to visit The Dancing Fox Winery and Bakery.
