21 years, the husband-wife duo have mastered the art of the warm,
tasty and decadent doughnutt: the item behind their business,
Village Donut.

When Tom Peterson first began his career as a city hall reporter
in San Diego, he decided he liked what the people in city
government were doing. After working in city government for two
years in San Diego, Peterson relocated to Lodi, where he served two
stints with the city of Lodi. He believes in helping people make
things happen.

Six Lodians have been named to the Lodi Community Hall of Fame
for 2011. Sponsored by the Lodi Boys and Girls Club, the Hall of
Fame program recognizes local men and women who have made enduring
contributions to the Lodi community. Inductees are to be honored at
a dinner and program set for Nov. 5.

unexpectedly Saturday, will be remembered for many things,
including the nicknames he gave to his favorite people. Services
are scheduled for Thursday.

Joseph Stacher is the man behind 4 Seasons Sports in Downtown
Lodi. He found the location. He got a loan with his own good
credit. He handles the inventory - from ski boots to life jackets
to lift tickets - and pays for it with his own money. He dedicates
more time to his shop than anywhere else.

Emanuel Kundert joined the Navy because he liked the clothes. He
also wanted to see the world, though his father didn't want to lose
the help he provided on the dairy farm. Kundert started flying in
1938 and was one of the few enlisted Navy men to fly a PBY Catalina
seaplane, but the Japanese shot his plane down in World War II.
