Some of Lodi’s youngest musicians will take the stage of the
Charlene Lange Performing Arts theater Sunday to perform in “Lodi’s
Young Stars of Broadway.” This is a Central Valley Youth Symphony
Association event featuring students from the Lodi Children’s
Chorus: Davis Mahoney, Samuel Primack, Jacob Noori, Rachael
Sherman-Shockley, Adam William Gates and Trenton M. Diaz. They will
be performing special selections from Broadway musicals.

Flames swimming and diving program showed it owns the city waters
by sweeping all four meets against the Tigers on Wednesday at the

Zach Oden won two events to lead the Tokay Tigers boys swim team
in a dominating 120-33 home victory over the Edison Vikings on
Friday to move to 2-0 in Tri-City Athletic League action. Tokay won
all 11 events.

The Tokay High boys water polo team found out the hard way there
is a reason why Davis has made it to the section playoff
championship game 18 times since the inception of the playoffs in
1972.

Tokay High boys water polo coach Shane Mahoney knows how to win
section championships. And all season long, Mahoney has been
teaching his team what it takes to do just that. Cole Mahoney had
three goals and Danny Kemether added two as Tokay upset Lodi, 7-5,
in the quarterfinals of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I playoffs
at its home pool on Tuesday.

Whether he is swimming or playing water polo, it's hard to find
Jake Lear when he's not in the water. The Lodi High senior has made
a career of scoring goals for Lodi in the pool in the fall and then
earning invitations to the Sac-Joaquin Section meet in the spring.
He says he likes both sports equally and just focuses on whichever
is in season.

Both of Tokay's water polo teams were Tri-City Athletic League
runner-ups this season and both were rewarded with two first-team
all-TCAL selections and another two second-team picks.
