    The Lodi Community Art Center will hold its installation ceremony on June 10 at the new gallery inside the Lakewood Mall and will begin at 6:30. The new officers are Caroline Henry, president; Joyce Costa, vice-president; Phyllis Marts, secretary; and Pam Bechill, treasurer.

    In your year-end photo round up, I loved seeing the photo of Jarrod Mays seated on his giant spider that won "Best of Show" in the 2010 Lodi Community Art Center Spring Show. Then I felt deeply disappointed as I discovered that once again the Lodi News-Sentinel had credited the Lodi Arts Commission with an LCAC project.

    The Stockton-Lodi branch of the National League of American Pen Women recently chose officers for their next year. The luncheon gathering was held at the home of Janet Schultz, and was preceded by the group's annual musical program. Love songs and other songs from World War II were performed by Pianist/Singer, Gene Hanten and Soloist Jenny Medrano. Members were asked to come in 40s style. A field trip was taken afterwards to view a mural in the grooming salon at Sycamore Lane Kennels (at the end of Sargent Road), which was painted by June Sands, of Ripon.
