Wine aficionados will soon be able to browse chairs, candle holders, cutting boards and even fire pits made out of used wine barrels while trying the latest samples from four of Lodi's wineries at a new tasting room in Downtown Lodi.
One man was injured and 145 homes lost power after a single vehicle careened into a Lodi Electric switch box on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. According to Officer Brian Freeman of the Lodi Police Department, a Toyota Prius driven by a 63-year-old man was traveling east on Harney Lane when it swerved across the westbound lane onto the sidewalk and collided with a power switch box before coming to a rest. The driver was taken to Kaiser South Sacramento with head trauma. Power was out in the area for 52 minutes.

Delivering the mail is a dangerous business, whether it is
dealing with dog bites, bee stings, the blazing summer sun or the
freezing winter winds.
And if that were not enough, mail carriers also run the risk of
being hit by cars.
On Thursday morning around 10:30 a.m., a 50-year-old mail
carrier was struck by an SUV heading southbound on Ham Lane at the
corner of Walnut Street.
According to Officer Brian Freeman, the 78-year-old driver of
the 2006 Toyota Highlander may not have seen the mail carrier, who
was in the crosswalk just a few feet from the sidewalk when he was

A black Ford Expedition rests on its side at the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive and West Century Boulevard on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011. The Expedition rolled over after colliding with a White Jeep Commander on West Century Boulevard, according to Officer Brian Freeman with the Lodi Police Department. The Expedition struck the back of the Commander as it was waiting to turn southbound on Meadowbrook Drive, Freeman said. The three people in the Commander were uninjured, and the driver of the Expedition was taken to Lodi Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

A Ford Expedition rolled over after colliding with a Jeep
Commander at the intersection of West Century Boulevard and
Meadowbrook Drive this afternoon. The driver of the Expedition was
transported to Lodi Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, and no
one else was injured according to Officer Brian Freeman with the
Lodi Police Department.

A Tokay High School football star playing the role of a driver
in a staged alcohol-related crash was himself arrested Thursday
when police allegedly found drugs in his wallet.
