Lodi High School Principal Bob Lofstead dedicates the new Don Rostomily Field at the school on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013. The Lodi Flames varsity boys soccer team capped the dedication with a 5-2 win over the Tracy Bulldogs. The Flames moved into second place in the San Joaquin Athletic Association standings with the win.
Eight years of renovation projects were officially completed at Lodi High School on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012. Principal Bob Lofstead, left, presented certificates of appreciation to several construction contractors for their work on more than $20 million in renovation projects. Pictured is Art Hand, assistant superintendent of facilities and planning, who was a lead organizer of the endeavor and also helped speed along the installation of a new video surveillance system. The projects included building agricultural science classrooms, a new gymnasium and modernization work.

Music with a strong bass beat is pumping out of speakers, played
by a DJ with crooked headphones. A few hundred Lodi and Tokay high
school students are packed inside a dimly lit hall. Girls are
dressed in neon sports bras or tank tops and bright spandex shorts.
Guys are sporting bright T-shirts and jeans. People are sweating in
the heat from so many bodies and the fierce movement.

the Clements community, though precisely what those hands will do
