Within five years, the south Lodi zoo will have even more new animals, and the eastern end of the zoo will no longer look like an unfinished construction site, as it does today.

Members of the San Joaquin Audubon Society taking their regular
walk around Lodi Lake's Nature Trail on Saturday ended up rescuing
a woman from the fast-flowing Mokelumne River.
The Audubon Society members, who were forced to take a different
trail because of the river's high water level, spotted a woman,
