A morning attic fire went unnoticed by the woman inside the
house Monday, until a concerned citizen intervened.
Homeowner Silvia Isordia said she was taking her 6-year-old son
to school when a fire started in her attic in the 1000 block of
Pinot Noir Drive, and only her 22-year-old daughter was home.
Because the fire was in the attic, Isordia’s daughter did not know
there was a problem because the inside of the home was clear of
smoke. She became aware of the fire when a stranger knocked on the
door and informed her that flames and smoke were visible from the
