As Hurricane Sandy hurls devastating winds toward the East Coast, three young Lodi natives wait expectantly in a second-story Manhattan apartment, six blocks from an evacuation zone.

This past weekend, Director Rex Reynolds and his brainchild, the Lodi Theater for Youth, came to Hutchins Street Square to put on four unforgettable performances, two of the cult hit "Grease" and two productions of the lighthearted comedy "Nunsense".

Students from five schools are teaming together to present a concert of inspirational Christian music Sunday in honor of music director Robert Tan, who was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack last weekend and undergoing open-heart surgery.
