A San Francisco Bay area family has been reunited with its dog more than four years after he went missing.
The Palo Alto Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/YlpDcp) that Oreo — a black and white Boston terrier — was spotted on Tuesday near a public storage facility in Daly City and taken to the Peninsula Humane Society's San Mateo shelter.

The man accused of murdering an Acampo father and son last month
declared his intention to plead guilty Monday morning, even if that
meant a possible death sentence.
Howard Daniel Smith, 40, allegedly shot and killed Jonathan
Meagher, 48, and his father, 84-year-old William Robert Meagher, on
March 25, according to prosecutors.
During an arraignment hearing Tuesday, Smith expressed his
desire to plead guilty, and reiterated his previous refusal of an
attorney.

Howard Daniel Smith knocked on Lorie-Ann Irvine's door and told
her, "I just killed Bill and Jay for talking smack about me
stealing stuff."
"Then I noticed the rifle in his hand," Irvine said.
Irvine, 43, and her boyfriend, Gary Morris, 34, told the
News-Sentinel about what they saw on March 25, when Smith allegedly
shot to death Jonathan "Jay" Meagher, 48, and his father, William
Meagher, 84, at their residence on Homestead Lane in northeastern
Acampo.

You live near Highway 99 on the north side of the Mokelumne
River, but you don't have a car. That means you can't cross the
river over the Highway 99 bridge, which is just a stone's throw
away. Instead, you must walk or bike 2.5 miles west to Lower
Sacramento Road and south through Woodbridge.

The man accused of murdering an Acampo father and son appeared
in court for an arraignment Tuesday afternoon, and was charged with
19 pages worth of violations.

The two men shot and killed in Acampo on Friday night have been
identified as a father and son.
The victims were Jonathan Meagher, 48, and his father, William
Robert Meagher, 84, according to Deputy Les Garcia with the San
Joaquin County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies have arrested Howard Daniel Smith in connection with
the killings. Police encountered Smith, 40, in a blue Ford Ranger
pickup truck when they responded to the shooting.

The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office has named Howard D.
Smith, 40, as the suspect they believe shot and killed two people
and wounded a third individual on Friday afternoon.
Smith was arrested shortly after the vehicle he was driving
collided with another vehicle on southbound Highway 99 at Harney
Lane, according to sheriff's Deputy Dave Konecny.
Smith, whose residence was not disclosed, was booked into San
Joaquin County Jail in French Camp on suspicion of two counts of
homicide, one count of attempted murder and burglary.
