Oreo is pictured at Alta View Animal Hospital in Mountain View on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013. The Boston terrier was reunited with his owners in Palo Alto this week four years after he went missing from their yard. He is scheduled to undergo surgery for a dislocated hip and a broken knee cap, injuries he suffered in the past couple of months.
- Boston terriers at a glance
-
The Boston Terrier is a breed of dog originating in the United States of America. This "American Gentleman" was accepted in 1893 by the American Kennel Club as a non-sporting breed. Color and markings are important when distinguishing this breed to the AKC standard.

A San Francisco Bay area family has been reunited with its dog more than four years after he went missing.
The Palo Alto Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/YlpDcp) that Oreo — a black and white Boston terrier — was spotted on Tuesday near a public storage facility in Daly City and taken to the Peninsula Humane Society's San Mateo shelter.
