    Coach Rod Gaines...

What a fine example of a true Legend in our community!!

Wrestling, is, has been, and will forever be, a huge part of my life. Coach Gaines has been a part of it for me every step of the way.

Even though I graduated as a Flame I have always had tons, and tons of respect for Coach Gaines.

As a Coach, a Mentor, a Co Worker and Community Model. As an athlete, it was he whom I admired regarding strength, knowledge and wisdom of the sport. When I had the opportunity to coach, at a competing local school it was he and his coaching skills of which I made efforts to emulate. As a professional co worker, it was he whom I looked to for encouragement and support when trying to cope with bureaucratic, political, LUSD bologna!!

Congratulations to you Rod, for an OUTSTANDING coaching career!!

Thanks for all of the fun, the encouragement and most of all the memories..

Your positive impact in the local, state, and national wrestling community will last forever and we the lucky recipients, of your strong yet kind spirit will remain eternally indebted to you and your life long commitment and dedications.

Thanks for it all Coach Gaines!! The pleasure has been all mine...

"Boys play with their balls... Men Wrestle!!" [smile]
