A few sturgeon have been reported this past week and in many areas in the Delta. One of the baits we have heard repeated by a fair number of anglers is to use a piece of eel and nightcrawler on the hook together. The fish are scattered throughout the Delta. Striped bass are still on a slow bite but we are hearing about a few more than in the past few weeks.

At Camanche, trolling has picked up a bit and the top 10 feet of water is where the fish seem to be holding. One good method has been to use a wooly bugger behind either a worm wiggler or a wiggle fin and put on a small piece of bait for scent. The bait fishermen are still taking fish on most parts of the lake using power bait or power eggs.
