The Delta: Fishing for stripers is hot and cold right now on the Sacramento River. Trollers are working just about the same areas this week in the Shipping Channel, Long Island to the Ryde Hotel, Clyde Shoals, the old dairy and the West Bank down to Collinsville, using deep-diving Rebels, shallow-running Bombers, P-Line Angry Eyes, P-Line Predators and shallow-running Yozuris. Fish are running from keeper size up to 10 pounds.
Bait fishermen are using shad, pile worms and sardines around the Rio Vista Bridge all the way down to the Decker Island and Sherman Island areas.
