The Delta: Salmon fishing has slowed down on the Sacramento River, but there are still fish being caught from Rio Vista up to Clarksburg. A lot of anglers are using Kwikfish, Killer Bees, Silvertons and Scarey Lures.

Anglers are jigging for salmon with Gibb's Minnows, and Pucci Spoons from mouth of the Old Sac and Steamboat Slough.

Striper trollers are fishing in the areas of the Old Dairy, Horseshoe Bend, along the West Bank to Collinsville. Most fish are running 4-9 pounds with an occasional fish in the teens using deep-diving Rebels, Yozuris. Shallow runners are using Yozuris, Angry Eyes and shallow-running Bombers.

Bait fishing has picked up using shad, sardines, and mudsuckers from the Rio Vista Bridge, Decker Island and Sherman Island.

Sturgeon was off the hook last weekend. Reports came from fishing at the Power Lines, Light 8, and Lights 1 and 2, as well as the Stacks at Pittsburg. Best baits are roe, eel and shrimp baits.

More and more Stripers are being reported on the San Joaquin River. Trollers are using Rebels, shallow-running P-Line Predators and Bombers. The Port of Stockton is kicking out stripers using jumbo minnows.

Bait fishermen are using shad, anchovies, sardines and mudsuckers. Best areas have been San Andreas, Santa Clara down to Eddos. Wayne Purdy and Arle Ahl caught limits with big fish up to 17 pounds using shad at Eddos.

Black bass anglers are use Spinner Baits, Jigs and Plastics.

Lake Amador: One-thousand trout per day are being planted with 15,000 pounds of fish up to 4 pounds planted so far. Anglers are concentrating in the area of the dam since that's where most of the fish have been planted.

Lake Camanche: Trout fishermen are trolling Excels, Needlefish and Serpent Spoons. Best speed is 2.5-3 mph and stay in the deeper water at 20-40 feet. Best areas are from northshore and southshore all the way to the dam. There is a reward for fish with orange tags, so take them to the northshore or southshore store. There were 100 tagged fish planted and two were caught in last weekend's derby.

Bass fishermen are using crawdad-type baits, rip baits, and worms.

New Melones: Trolling for trout is a little tougher now due to water temperature changes. Anglers are still using Rapalas, Excalibur Lures, Excels, Serpent Spoons and Needlefish, working all areas as the fish are scattered all over the lake.

Ocean: The crab catch is fantastic. Large crabs are being hauled in out of Bodega Bay, Half Moon Bay and Lawson's Landing. Very easy limits and rock Fishing is still very good.
