Silver salmon bite still great at Lake Oroville
The Delta: Trollers are catching fish on the Sacramento River, from the Isleton Bridge up to the Walnut Grove Bridge. Some anglers are jigging. Reports of spawning have been observed at both bridges last week. It might be coming to a quick end as the fish start working their way back to the Bay.
Bait fishermen are fishing the Rio Vista Bridge down to Broad Slough, using Shad and Sardines. Most fish are keeper size to 4 or 5 pounds. Several Sturgeon have been caught out of Montezuma Slough, using Shrimp Baits and Pile Worms.
