The Delta: In the Sacramento River, striper anglers are trolling the West Bank, Sherman Island to Broad Slough and inside Montezuma Slough. They're pulling shallow running Bombers, spreaders with large Rat-L-Traps or shallow running Yozuris.

Bait fishermen have a wide open bite from the Rio Vista Bridge to Broad Slough. Clint Kammerer and Roland Mounce caught limits between 8 and 14 pounds around Light No. 8, using Shad. Other favored baits are Sardines and Mudsuckers.

Sturgeon fishermen have done very good this past week from the south tip of Decker Island, Light Nos. 5, 1 and 2 areas, as well as the Pittsburg Power Plant. They are using Salmon Roe, Eel and Shrimp Baits.

San Joaquin River: Striper trollers are catching fish near the Sounding Board down to Eddos, but there are still a lot of hyacinths in there. Most fish caught are running 4-8 lbs. Best lures are Rebels, Yozuris and P-Line Predators.

Bait fishing is best in the Santa Clara Shoals to the Eddos area.

Lake Amador: Bank anglers are doing very well using Berkeley Trout Worms and Mice Tails, as well as PowerBait in Garlic scented Chartreuse, Captain America and Salmon Peach. Some anglers are using Power Eggs, along with regular PowerBait.

They're still planting a lot of fish.

Trollers are using Excels, Rocky Mountain Serpent Spoons, Needlefish, and Mag Tackle Predators, with some anglers starting to pull Rapalas in Black and Gold, Orange and Gold and Hot Steel.

Lake Camanche: Many trollers report that they're doing very on Berkeley Grubs in White, Black and Chartreuse, long-lining back 150 to 200 feet behind the boat. Joe Nye of Acampo and his fishing partner caught limits and one of the tagged fish. The best areas are the River Channel and Rabbit Creek to the dam.

The best bait fishing is on the South Shore at Chevron Point and the Low Water Boat Ramp. For North Shore fishing, the best areas are the boat ramp back to the Day Use area. The best baits have been Berkeley Garlic-scented PowerBait in Fluorescent Red and Salmon Egg. The South Shore Pond and the South Shore ramp were planted this week.

Bass fishermen are using Purple jigs and worms.

New Melones: Trout trollers are working the main body, the dam area, Mormon Creek and the Carson creek area. The best lures are Uncle Larry's Spinners with a nightcrawler, Needlefish, Excels, Cyclops and Rapalas. A lot of nice trout are being caught, up to three pounnds.

Bank fishermen are catching a lot of fish near Angel's Cove, Glory Hole Point, the Tuttle Town Boat Ramp area and the Hwy 49 Bridge. The best baits are Berkeley PowerBait, Berkeley Mice Tails, Berkeley Trout worms and Nightcrawlers.

Ocean: Crabbing is still good. It has been a little tougher since the commercial fishing have started, but the fishing is still good. Anglers report very good Rock Fishing out of Bodega Bay and Half Moon Bay.

Fishing Licenses and Vouchers for 2013 are now available.
