The Delta: Sturgeon fishing on the Sacramento River is picking up with anglers getting action in the areas of the power lines, Light 1, Roe and Ryer Island to the Mothball Fleet, using shrimp baits, roe and eel.
Striped bass fishing is on the slow side due to cold water temperatures. It's a good idea to try shallow water at 8-15 feet. The fish being caught are keeper size. Anglers are having best luck by the Old Dairy, south tip of Decker Island and power lines using shad and sardines.
