The Delta: Fishing has slowed down a little on the Sacramento River. Anglers are still catching fish from Rio Vista up the river as far as Clarksburg. Gary Seefried and a friend caught a 36-pounder in Steamboat Slough last Saturday, using Silvertrons. Kita Till caught her first salmon, an 11-pounder, using a chartreuse Silvertron at Walnut Grove. Most anglers fishing in that area are fishing close to the bottom for best results.
Anglers are jigging for salmon with Gibb's Minnows, and Gibb's and Pucci Spoons, from the mouth of the Old Sac and Steamboat Slough areas to the ferry.
