The wife and I fished around Walnut Grove Yesterday about 7 hours. We are pretty good fisherfolks, We trolled with our blue SkiBarge, 4 rods and a variety of lures and colors, except 'jigging'. We are both friendly to any fishermen, on the dock, on the shore or riding in a boat, we'll talk to anyone as long as they are not rude.
We saw one fish caught ! Met a fishing couple at the cleaning station, veterans of the area who let me have 2 sets of eggs, 4 1/2 lbs worth to make steelhead and Sturgeon Candy. Thank You both for making this world a better place...

Now about these "surging salmon schools" ? They were not there according to my and MANY others ' electronic fish finders'. Which goes along with Us seeing only 1 caught salmon in 7 hours of fishing !! Most parts of California this is NOT considered , "having a lot of luck" .
I believe in a certain amount of literary artistic license but your 'glowing' fish report
sends many out on the river to be skunked, but it does result in new lures being purchased from local businesses.
